Huge Container at School
This year there is a huge twenty foot recycling station at school and the recycling station is not any ordinary shipping container. Only two have been launched and one was launched at our school and one in Tauranga to a school. The containers that go into the slots of the recycling station are ... milk bottles, Tip Top ice -cream tubs, Eco store products and Piako yogurt tubs. They are made into wheelie bins and crates and small bottles. Having a clean environment is great!

The Recycling Station at Wakaaranga School
At our school we have a massive recycling station at the back. You shove in the slots ... Anchor milk bottles, Tip Top ice-cream tubs, Eco Store products and Piako yogurt tubs. On the recycling station there is also a sign saying be in to win. The containers will be recycled into plant stakes, they might be madeinto wheelie bins too. Having the recycling station at our school is exciting!

Recycling Station at School
Today my class went to the recycling station! We stood on the recycling station. I put a milk bottle in. You can only put four things and that is: Tip Top ice-cream tubs, Paiko yogurt and Eco store products and also milk bottles. They can be made into beautiful plant stakes and wheelie bins. I like the recycling station because it helps the environment!

Should Children be Allowed to drink Fizzy Drinks?
I think children should not be allowed to drink fizzy drinks because they are bad for your body and teeth.
By Tracy

I think children should drink fizzy drinks only on birthdays because it has lots of sugar in it. It is bad for your teeth and your body. It has forty teaspoons of sugar in the fizzy drink.
By Haylee

Cinnamon is white and cinnamon. Rose was white and chocolate. They both do funny things like hopping in the food bowl. I think the rats were cute!

Jayme's Rats
Yesterday in room 4b Jayme brought two rats to school. She also had a cage. In the cage there was a piece of corn and lots of wood shavings. Their names are Rose and Cinnamon. The rats favourite food is avocado and corn. At Jayme's house they also have a hammock. Rats are unusual pets for people. The colour of the rats was black but Rose was a dark chocolate colour. It was exciting because I got to stroke the rats and to see how they run.

Fishy Science
On Monday Alicia brought 2 fishes that her dad caught in the weekend. We dissected the fish to look at all the body parts and we also compared them. We will be writing about this experience later this week.

A Fishy Experience
On Monday it was an exciting day. Mrs Field was cutting a dead fish. One was called a groper and the other one was called a black snapper. First Mrs Field just got her class because they were waiting for the ice to melt. It was an investigation. It was the first time for Mrs Govender to do that. The snapper was soft but the groper was heavy. That was interesting. I like to learn interesting things.
By Grace
On Monday Alicia brought a groper and snapper and we cut it up. I was also brave. Mrs Field and Mrs Govender cut it
up. It happened at school. The groper was red.

A Scary Fishy Experiment
On Monday afternoon Mrs Field's class visited 4b to talk about two fishes called a black snapper and groper. We took both of their eyes out. The smell of the two fishes was so so fishy, I nerly fainted. It's also good that that they were dead. The groper was rough and heavy. The snapper was supposed to be soft but it was frozen. The groper was also frozen. The groper was red and the snapper was grey. When we dissedted the two fishes they didn't look the same. the fish that I saw made me feel son fantastic.
By Dhrov

On Monday someone brought in the fish. The groper was red and black. The snapper was black and white. The fish was smelly. The important thing is to keep the gloves on because your hand will get stinky.
